Russ Ballard

Vice President Russell Ballard works as a Deputy Chief Underwriter at Grandbridge, a subsidiary of Truist. Prior to joining Grandbridge in 2012 Russell was Senior Underwriter with Walker & Dunlop. He began his career as an Analyst with Column Guaranteed/Credit Suisse in 2006.

Russell has underwritten numerous transactions with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan executions. He has experience in both conventional and affordable multifamily housing, as well as seniors housing. He has worked in the commercial real estate industry since 2002 starting with various internships while in college.

Russell earned his bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business with a Master of Business Administration. He is also currently pursuing a CCIM designation.
